Stanneman Silent Killer is a beer brewed using the double mashing principle.
Simply put, the beer is brewed in beer instead of water.
This brewing process is extremely time-consuming and expensive, but definitely worth it.
And if that weren't enough, we use the same noble hop variety throughout the entire brewing process,
namely Mosaic… This gives the beer a very high alcohol content.
What sets this beer apart from most heavy beers is that the alcohol is quite well hidden.
Therefore, very deceptive and worthy of its name.
Silent Killer is an amber-orange beer with a light beige, creamy head.
The nose reveals plenty of sweet malt alongside a decent portion of spicy hops
and surrounding aromas of ripe banana, alcohol, raisin, and eucalyptus.
The taste is initially sweet and sticky, but is quickly joined by a robust hop bitterness.
Many additional aromas such as banana, solvent, caramel, peach, and licorice are present.
Sticky and incredibly full-bodied.
A fireside favorite!!!
